These are bigger then the original by Green Egg and the material should last much longer, being synthetic. I like them. Installed just recently and very happy. One side (on the right) seems to be not fully horizontal when in use. Very slight angle but not a big deal for me.I've enjoyed these shelves, greatly. Before installing them I decided to apply a coat of polyurethane for longevity. If you don't have any shelves, you'll like these.Trying to put a cover over the egg with these folded up is now difficult and I’ll rob need to buy a larger cover . If you’re going to leave these open all the time , then it’s not an issue.Product took less than a minute to install, and helps out with utensils. Great addition to my egg.Very disappointed. Had my original green egg hinge and in 5 yrs never saw rust.This ones are clunky to move up and down. They wont last I can tell. Its a plastic and thin metal. I would not buy again. The rusty building appearance at 1 month is now the cherry on top. Its crap product.Love itI liked these shelves for my large bge. They have been installed and on the deck for two weeks. I noticed today that they were already rusted on the ends of the metal supports. I will have to sand the rust off and repaint the ends before they get too bad. I expected a little better quality for the price. Nothing is made worth a crap these days.Update :They have been installed for a month or two and I just raised them up to use the right one and it has a huge white streak on it. Never been used just sitting on my deck. I guess I'll have to paint them. Very poor workmanshipGreat
